Broadway theatre is usually considered to represent the highest level of commercial theater and appeals to a mass audience. The shows that reach Broadway and thrive there have historically been perceived as more mainstream. These are the shows that Up In Lights will strive to bring to local audiences. |
A stage is a place in which the performances take place, but it can also be considered a significant phase in the social development of a person. The profession of acting, drama, dance or theater takes a lot of work and the reality is that many may dream, but few will be given the chance to do it professionally. But with the right preparation for any career, the dream can become reality. By taking an active role in the creative development of a person, suddenly their dreams seem obtainable and the work ethics they learn can be carried over to their next stage in life. |
Up In Lights works to inspire our performers with confidence in themselves and the abilities that are deep within them. We will make every effort to teach and challenge our performers physically and mentally preparing them for the dreams that are in their hearts. We believe that anything is possible, and with hard work and encouragement they will take those dreams and make them a reality. |
