Lead Artistic Director , Choreographer

Britni has been the Director and Choreographer for Up In Lights, since it began in 2000. For the past 8 years she has successfully produced 7 musical productions, High School Musical marking her 7th show. She has been seen all over Northern Colorado in productions of Little Shop of Horrors as Audrey, Oklahoma with FRMT, Cinderella with FCCT, Remote Control with Encore!Encore!, and the Northern Colorado Premier of Cats at the Carousel Dinner Theater as Electra . Her Choreography has been seen in High School show choirs, musicals and local theatre companies. She has been the choreographer for Loveland Choral Society for the past Five years for shows such as Broadway Hot!, Smile...It's the 70's, Cole Porter : You're the Top , Toyland, Great American Songbook and American Music History Tour. 


She has been trained at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado Academy of the Arts, John Robert Powers, and TVI Acting Studio in Los Angels, along with dance training for 22 years at some of Colorado's top dance studios. She has been the Creative Arts Director for New Song Church along side her Husband Jeremy who is the Worship Pastor. Together they produce musical productions, lead worship and run a graphic arts company.


Past UIL Productions include, High School Musical, The All Night Strut, FOOTLOOSE! , Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Grease, Love At First Sight and Rockin' Summer Nights. Above all, Britni would like to thank her best friend and Savior Jesus, who has shown her such faithfulness through the years. Britni also sends her love and appreciation to the cast, crew, her Family, and last but not least to her AMAZING husband Jeremy. I can't think of anyone else I'd rather share all this with. You're my Favorite!!! Love you!

Artistic Director , Choreographer

Cole Emarine is more than thrilled to return to Colorado stages after a 2 year absence! Cole has spent the last 2 years traveling the world as a Lead Singer and dancer aboard Holland America Line's ms Statendam and ms Maasdam. As an inaugural member of UIL, Cole has worked in many capacities from Stage Managing to starring as Ren McCormack in the 2005 production of FOOTLOOSEHe feels honored to be welcomed home into such a talented group of people. Local audiences may also remember Cole in Aida(Arvada Center), The Music Man and Sweet Charity (Boulder's Dinner), and the Regional Premiers of Disney's Beauty & the Beast as LeFou, Altar Boyz as Mark, and CATS as Mistofolees (Ovation Nomination) all at the Carousel. Cole can be seen next in My Fair Lady at the Candlelight Dinner Playhouse. Thanks to Brit & Jer and the whole UIL family for letting me sneak in and have a part in this wonderful celebration! Love to the Fam!

Artistic Director

 

Laura Pacini has been working with Up in Lights at various times for the past six years as a performer, assistant director, lighting designer and theatre/film teacher. She grew up performing four shows a year on average and has taken numerous theatre, dance, music and production classes through companies such as: The Denver Center for the Performing Arts, Debut Theatre, Colorado Academy of the Arts, Front Range Music Theatre, Carousel Dinner Theatre, Fort Collins Children’s Theatre, Jesters Dinner Theatre, and PB&J. Desiring to further her education in theatre, she received a Theatre Education degree at the University of Northern Colorado.  She became interested in film production at age 16 and has since interned and worked for the past 8 years at Shadow Play Films, shooting and editing national television specials, commercials, promos and short films.  Her aim is to create a safe and creative learning environment that allows students to utilize
their full potential creatively in the aspects of film and theatre.

Jalyn Webb

  

Vocal Director

Jalyn has been a favorite performer and vocal coach throughout northern Colorado for the last 20 years. Favorite roles she has played on stage include Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Anita in West Side Story, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, the Baroness in Sound of Music, the Witch in Into the Woods, Sister Hubert in Nunsense, Woman 2 in ILYYPNC,  and Arlene in Baby. Jalyn also toured the Western Slope with a production of Quilters and was the singer of the national anthem for the Colorado Avalanche from 1996 through 1998. Jalyn directed the Vocal Jazz department at CSU and taught elementary music at the Washington Core Knowledge School in Ft. Collins, CO for two years where she was honored as a presenter at the national Core Knowledge Convention for her original lesson plan ideas. Jalyn was also a member of the critically acclaimed acapella group, eLeMeNO-P, with whom she toured for several years and recorded the album No More Lonely People. Jalyn received a B.A. in Music Theatre/Vocal Performance from  UNC in Greeley, CO and did graduate work in Music Education at CSU. She is currently a sales consultant for Vera Bradley Designs, and still performs locally in dinner theater across northern Colorado, most recently at the Carousel Dinner Theater and the Union Colony Dinner Theater in Greeley. Jalyn also will be singing with the Greeley Philharmonic this Christmas for the Poinsetta Pops Concert, and is looking forward to working with UIL on many future productions!

 

 
Jeremy Girard PDF Print E-mail

Music Director / Band Director 

Jeremy has been part of the UIL family now for 5 years.  Acting as the orchestra director and conductor, he has been privileged to be a part of such shows as Footloose, High School Musical, Little Women, All Shook Up, and Godspell.  He has also played the role of Coach Bolton and performed in the All Night Strut. 

Jeremy attended college in Sydney, Australia at Hillsong International eadership College where he majored in Piano Performance and Composition. While there he was privileged to be the College Music Director.

In 2002, he released his first album of original piano compositions entitled The Dream and in 2006 he released his second album entitled Ivory Christmas. He has played as an accompanist for numerous companies around the area and also works on the side providing live music for parties, weddings and services. Jeremy is currently the Worship Pastor at Summit Church in Longmont.  He is currently working on another original worship album and hopes to see it released this year! He would like to thank his beautiful wife Britni for always believing in him!  I love you!

Debbie Russell

Costume Designer

 

Debbie has been with Up In Lights since the creation of the company in 2000.  Her designs have been seen in many productions and has been the head costume designer for all of the companies productions, classes, recitals and summer camps.  Some favorites include, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, The All Night Strut, High School Musical, Footloose, Godspell, Grease, Little Women and All Shook Up.  With a degree in fashion and interior design, Up In Lights has given her an outlet to utilize those skills and abilities.  Her full time job is selling real estate, along with building and remodeling homes with her husband.
