A Year With Frog and Toad
Samantha is very excited to be apart of the Up In Lights staff and team! She loves to sing, has been acting most all of her life, and would probably fall apart if she didn't dance! She has been performing with Up In Lights since 2007 and past roles include High School Musical (Alaina), Godspell, All Shook Up (Natalie U/S) and 101 Dalmations (Anita). Beyond UIL, Samantha is proud to have been apart of the Thompson Valley Theatre Company's production of Les Miserables and has done two shows with That Local Group-a theatre company put together by some of her friends: Jekyll and Hyde (Katherine) and Little Women (Meg). Most recently, Samantha has been a reoccurring face in Encore!Encore!'s past shows Play On (Aggie Manville) and Exit the Body (Jenny). Along with instructing dance, directing, set-construction, and stage managing, Samantha has enjoyed working on multiple UIL kid's camp projects and is excited for another round starting this season. “Thanks to Britni for all the opportunities and for whatever it is that she sees inside of me that she keeps me around for. Thank you also to my mom, dad, and support – you know who you are. And most of all, thanks to my Savior Jesus Christ, who is the reason any and everything is possible.”

Steffan has been trained in dance from several programs, including Gandy Dancers, the Arvada Center for Performing Arts, Front Range Larimer, and the University of Northern Colorado. While versed in many styles, his passion has always been tap. He attended the Creative Arts Theatre and School of Arlington’s National Summer Musical Theatre Intensive for several years. He has performed with UIL in High School Musical, Godspell (Jeffrey), All Shook Up (Dennis), and Little Women (John Brooke). Outside of UIL he’s starred in such shows as A Chorus Line (Mark), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lysander), 42nd Street (Julian Marsh), Man of La Mancha (The Duke/Dr. Carrasco/Knight of the Mirrors), Universal Language (Don), The Birds (Pithetaerous), Footloose (Bickle), and Pirates of Penzance (Major General Stanley). Brinn is, to put it simply, a theatre nerd. After his big sister talked him into auditioning for his first play his freshman year of high school, Brinn has crammed as much theatre into his life as he can fit (and afford). He was a member of the Thompson Valley Theatre Company at his high school all four years of attendance, as well as a member of That Local Group, a theatre company he and his friends put together, performing dinner theatres and full-length plays. He has performed onstage and of, most enthusiastically in directing as well as set design and set painting/decoration when he isn't onstage performing (though he has been known to do both simultaneously from time to time). He has been performing with Up In Lights since 2007, in High School Musical (Mongo), Godspell (Judas), All Shook Up (Jim), and Little Women (Mr. Laurence). Other shows outside of Up In Lights include Beauty and the Beast (Beast), The Importance of Being Earnest (Algernon Moncrieff), The Elephant Man (John Merrick), The Beverly Hillbillies (Jed Clampett), and Peter Pan(Captain Hook/Mr. Darling). Brinn would just like to thank Britni for giving him this amazing opportunity, and to all of his students for allowing him to help them grow in the theatre community.
